A Perfect Anniversary Getaway at Pearl Farm Beach Resort

To celebrate our wedding anniversary, my spouse and I decided to indulge in a luxurious getaway at Pearl Farm Beach Resort. Nestled in the beautiful Island Garden City of Samal, this resort promises a perfect blend of relaxation and adventure.

How to Get to Pearl Farm Beach Resort

The adventure begins at Pearl Farm Marina, located at Lanang Davao Beach Club. Here, we board a boat to Samal Island, embarking on a scenic 45-minute journey.

There are four regular boat trips daily:

• Davao Marina to Resort – 10:00 AM and 2:00 PM
• Resort to Davao Marina – 8:30 AM and 1:00 PM

For our trip, we chose the first departure to maximize our time at the resort.

While special boat transfers can be arranged for an additional fee, it’s important to note that reservations are highly recommended. Additionally, guests should arrive at the Marina at least 30 minutes before departure to ensure a smooth boarding experience.

Upon arriving at Pearl Farm, we were greeted with refreshing welcome drinks and the warm smiles of the staff. It surely sets the perfect tone for our relaxing stay.

The Unique Samal House Experience

Our home for this special occasion was the Samal House, one of the resort’s signature accommodations. These unique villas are built on stilts directly above the sea, offering an incredible experience. We couldn’t have chosen a better place to stay. The Samal House, which draws inspiration from the traditional stilt shelters of the Samal tribes, showcases vibrant hues and a unique design as a work of art. From the moment we stepped inside, the calming sound of the ocean filled the room, immediately setting the tone for our peaceful getaway.

The best part? The terrace was a dream come true. Stepping out, we saw a breathtaking view of the clear, turquoise waters. The proximity to the sea was an invitation we couldn’t resist. With a quick leap from the terrace, we were swimming in the refreshing ocean. It was an experience like no other—being able to plunge into the sea directly from our room felt incredibly liberating.

Inside, the Samal House had all the comforts we needed, including air-conditioning, cable television, a mini-bar, and a room safe. Despite being in the lap of nature, we never had to compromise on modern amenities. We spent the early part of the evening sipping coffee on the terrace and then watching the sunset over the horizon. Certainly, the sense of peace and solitude was unmatched.

Relaxation at the Mandaya Pool

First thing in the morning, we spent the day kayaking and exploring the nearby coral reefs. Then, we spent a relaxing afternoon by the Mandaya Pool. The views were beautiful. As a result, it quickly became one of our favorite spots to unwind. Secondly, we enjoyed some poolside drinks and soaked in the peaceful atmosphere. Lying there, feeling the breeze, and listening to the soft sounds of the trees, it was easy to forget about everything else and relax.

Exploring Malipano Island

As part of our adventure, we took a short boat ride to Malipano Island, a private island owned by the resort. The island offers an exclusive and secluded feel. Definitely, it is ideal for a romantic stroll or a more adventurous exploration. We walked along the pristine white sand beaches, feeling the soft sand beneath our feet and enjoying the solitude of the island.
