D' Bone Collector Museum Kadayawan Promo
Tucked along San Pedro Street in Talomo, Davao City, D’ Bone Collector Museum Inc. is home to one of the Philippines’ most extensive private collections of animal skeletons โ from a towering sperm whale to the smallest reef fish. This Kadayawan season, bring the whole barkada and turn a walk through the bones into a lesson on the wildlife that shares our islands.
D’ Bone Collector Museum was founded in 2012 by Darrell D. Blatchley, an American naturalist raised in the Philippines. What began as a personal fascination with skeletal remains grew into a full museum built to help visitors understand how animals live, and die, in the wild.
The museum states that its specimens are obtained through legal and non-lethal means โ animals found after storms, remains surrendered by community members, or specimens turned over by government agencies after being confiscated from illegal wildlife trade. Guided tours tie each skeleton back to a larger story about habitat protection and marine conservation in the Philippines.
The collection spans hundreds of specimens across land, sea, and air. Here’s what makes a visit worth the trip:
