Located in the historic Old PC Barracks, Barangay Sudapin, Old Kidapawan, this charming accommodation blends comfort with a touch of history.

From the moment I stepped into Indochine House in Kidapawan City, the tasteful decor and cozy ambiance struck me. The rooms were clean and well-maintained, each thoughtfully decorated with an Asian collection of statues. 

While the statues might not be my cup of tea, others may find them a unique cultural charm to the place. The serene atmosphere of Indochine House made it an inviting and relaxing place to stay.

Hearty Breakfast: A Delightful Start to the Day

One of my favorite aspects of staying at Indochine House was the hearty breakfast served each morning. The savory Filipino breakfast, complete with a generous helping of seasonal fruits and fresh juice, was a perfect start to my day. 

The variety and quality of the breakfast left me satisfied and ready for the day’s adventures. The friendly staff at Indochine House took pride in preparing a delicious and wholesome meal, catering to various tastes.

Beautiful Garden: A Tropical Oasis

Indochine House’s beautiful garden was another highlight of my stay. The garden was meticulously maintained and featured a variety of tropical plants, which offered a peaceful setting in which to unwind. 

Whether I took a morning walk or relaxed in the afternoon, the garden provided a perfect place to reconnect with nature and enjoy the tranquility of my surroundings.

Fruit Harvest Season in August

Visiting Kidapawan City in August was a delightful experience, as it was the harvest season for fruits. The city came alive with vibrant markets and local festivities celebrating the abundance of fresh produce. 

I indulged in a variety of tropical fruits like durian, mangosteen, rambutan, lanzones, and marang. It was a perfect time to visit and savor the natural bounty of the region.

Tourist Attractions Near Indochine House

Lake Agco: A Scenic Adventure

While staying at Indochine House, tourists may consider a trip to Lake Agco, a must-see for nature lovers. Now accessible by car up to 4000 feet above sea level, this beautiful lake offers stunning views and a chance to connect with nature. The journey itself is an experience, with winding roads and breathtaking scenery along the way. Visitors can explore the lake, take in the serene surroundings, and even dip in the natural hot springs for a refreshing treat.

New Israel Mountain Resort: Thrill and Relaxation

Another nearby attraction is the New Israel Mountain Resort, recently developed as a tourist destination. It features one of the longest ziplines in Asia, offering an exhilarating ride with panoramic views of the lush landscape. After the adrenaline rush, tourists can relax and enjoy the resort’s amenities, making it a perfect day trip from Kidapawan City.

Getting to Indochine House

Reaching Indochine House was convenient. Located approximately 110 km from Davao City, the drive to Kidapawan took around 2 hours by private car. For those preferring public transportation, buses and commuter vans were readily available, providing a comfortable and affordable option for travel.
