Camp Sabros: Adventure, Relaxation, and Breathtaking Views Await You
If you’re looking for a getaway that blends adventure and nature, Camp Sabros in Kapatagan, Digos, is your place. Nestled at 3,980 feet above sea level, this mountain retreat offers stunning views, fresh air, and a perfect backdrop for both thrill-seekers and laid-back travelers.
Getting To Camp Sabros: The Journey is Half the Fun
The drive to Camp Sabros is an adventure in itself. From Davao City, it’s about a two-hour drive through winding roads that showcase Mindanao’s lush landscapes. Recently, a new, shorter route has made the journey even more accessible. If you’re coming from Davao City, you can take the fully cemented Sta. Cruz route. Just look for the Apolinar Franco, Sr. Elementary School (formerly Bato Elementary School) as your landmark.
The final leg of the journey is where things get exciting. From the base of the camp, you can choose to hike up, take a horseback ride, or drive your car. My companions decided to drive up, but I had to close my eyes as we ascended the narrow, one-way road—a challenge for anyone afraid of heights. However, the fresh mountain air and breathtaking panoramic views made it all worthwhile.
